Stacker creative play
Here are some of the benefits your child could get from open ended creative play using our Smol Block Skog collection of 2022
-
Natural Materials
Beech wood + food grade oil finish
Today, parents are more knowledgeable and also care about the environment. Not only are they concerned about the toxic substances in toys but also the harmful effects on the environment from their use. More so, one of our beliefs is using environmentally friendly products, and many of the brands that we proudly represent share our beliefs in producing toys made of natural materials and that are not harmful to the environment. Natural toys, like wooden toys, are sustainable, recyclable, and biodegradable. So, if and when they do end up in a landfill, they will not cause much harm because when they breakdown, they will not leave any harmful traces. -
Stacking + Interlocking
Patience, focus & fine motor skills
Stacking & interlocking mechanisms in toys can help boost fine and gross motor skills and help your baby develop better eye-hand coordination. They also help babies learn about spatial relationships (like under and over), and shapes. Overall, they’re a great learning tool. Plus, they generally don’t take up a ton of space and are fairly simple to clean.
-
Hand-eye Coordination
Develops grasp & cognitive abilities
The Skog collection helps children think, explore and figure things out. It is the development of knowledge, skills, problem solving and dispositions, which help children to think about and understand the world around them. Brain development is part of cognitive development. As a parent, it is important to foster your child's cognitive development as soon as he/she is born because doing so provides the foundation for your child's success in school and later in life.
-
Puzzle Interface
Shape recognition
The animal shape sorter allows your child to strengthen their hand-eye coordination, fine motor and problem-solving skills, as well develop their vocabulary knowledge (e.g. being able to identify and name shapes). When a toddler tries to insert the wrong block and sees that it isn’t working, he may brainstorm how to get the block to go through, and try a different slot until he finds the one that works. He used problem-solving to figure out his dilemma and witnessed the cause-and-effect when attempting to pass a block through an incorrect space vs. through a correct space.
-
Creativity
Imagination & thinking ability
Creative play is a vital part of childhood and child development. Through creative and imaginative play children can grow emotionally, socially, intellectually, and even physically. Creative experiences help a child develop these skills and enable them to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas. Exposing children to creative opportunities contributes to, and furthers their development. Every small step toward developing a child’s skills is a major milestone in their growth and happiness.

Inclusive Play
Parent-child interaction
Some of the many benefits from participating in play are higher self- esteem, positive, self-identity, and emotional well-being that have a lasting effect on an individual into their adult life. Play is the natural environment where social interactions occur, contributing to greater acceptance, the breaking down of barriers, and the fostering of friendships. Creating truly inclusive and embracing play experiences should start with an understanding and intentional design focus on the developmental needs of the whole child.
